What we collect, who can see it, and the choices you have.

The short version
Ivy Varsity is a private network for current and former Ivy League varsity athletes. We collect what we need to verify you and help members reach each other. We don't sell your information. Employers can pay to post and feature roles, but that never gives them access to your profile.
What we collect
- What you give us: your name, email, school, sport, class year, position, city, photo, work and bio, and, if you choose, a phone number and LinkedIn.
- What you do here: messages, plans you make with other members, trips you add, posts and replies, and who vouched for whom.
- Basic technical info: sign-in records and the device and browser you use, so the app works and stays secure.
Who can see it
- Only approved members can see profiles. Nothing about you is public unless you turn on a public Founding Fellow listing, which shows only your name, school, sport and year.
- By default your profile is visible to your own sport. You choose whether other sports can find you, and who sees your phone and email, including "Nobody."
- Messages and plans are visible only to the people in them.
- Employers who post roles do not get access to the member directory.
How we use it
- To verify that members are Ivy League varsity athletes.
- To run the app: profiles, messages, plans, the map and job posts.
- To send account emails like sign-in links and password resets.
- To keep the network safe, including handling reports and blocks.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your information. We use a small number of service providers to run Ivy Varsity, such as our database and hosting providers and our email sender. They handle your data only to provide those services. We may share information if the law requires it or to protect the safety of members.
Your choices
- Edit your profile and privacy settings any time in the app.
- Block any member, and they can no longer see or contact you.
- Ask us to delete your account and your data through the contact page. We'll confirm by email.
Keeping it safe
Data is encrypted in transit, and access rules in our database limit what each member can see. No system is perfect, so please use a strong password and don't share it.
Who this is for
Ivy Varsity is for current and former college athletes. It is not meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and let members know in the app.
